Older properties in areas like Salford, Chorlton, and Didsbury often have gravity-fed plumbing systems with cold water tanks in the loft and hot water cylinders in the airing cupboard. These systems use low-pressure feeds that require specific taps and shower valves. We regularly upgrade these to mains-pressure unvented systems, giving homeowners better water pressure throughout the house.

Combination boilers are the most common heating system in modern Manchester homes. We install feeds for new combi boilers, connect system boilers to unvented cylinders, and diagnose pressure loss issues that cause intermittent heating failures. While we don't service gas boilers ourselves (that requires Gas Safe registration for gas work specifically), we handle all the water-side plumbing that connects to your heating system.

Pipework materials have evolved significantly. We carry a comprehensive van stock of commonly needed parts: 15mm and 22mm copper fittings, push-fit connectors, isolation valves, tap cartridges, flexible hoses, waste traps, compression olives, PTFE tape, and silicone.
